How Do I Set Up Land Rover InControl® Apps™?

Before you can start enjoying these features on the roads near Fort Lee and New York City, you’ll have to get set up. First things first: you’ll need to install and set up Land Rover InControl® Apps™ on your smartphone:

1. Locate Land Rover InControl® Apps™ wherever you buy your apps, in the Apple App Store or the Google Play store.
2. Download the app and install it on your phone, then follow the Auto Quick Start Guide to finish setup.

Now that your smartphone has the app, you should make sure it’s connected and paired with your vehicle:

1. Pair your smartphone to the vehicle using Bluetooth®, and make sure that your device is unlocked.
2. Now, connect the smartphone directly to the vehicle using the dedicated InControl® Apps™ USB port.
3. Open Land Rover InControl® Apps™ on your IOS® device or select “Always Allow” on your Android™.
4. On your in-vehicle touchscreen, select either “View” or “View and Listen”

Each third-party app will have to be activated separately, but this only takes a moment:

1. Press the greyed-out app on your in-vehicle touchscreen
2. Approve the pop-up on your mobile device
3. Press the Home button on your in-vehicle touchscreen
4. Go back to your mobile device and approve this pop-up, too!

What is the Land Rover InControl® Remote™ App?

The Land Rover InControl® Remote™ app is a separate feature that allows you to interact with your vehicle from a distance. Simply download the app like you would any other, and make sure that your phone is paired with your vehicle. You can then take advantage of features like remote engine start, or preheat/precool the vehicle before you get inside.

On vehicles equipped with Land Rover InControl® Remote & Protect™, you’ll have access to even more benefits. You can even summon assistance from just about anywhere in the world.
